Doors and Bar open from 7:00 pm
Screening starts at 7:30 pm
This film won three Oscars and a Bafta yet seems to have had a curiously low profile in the UK. It tells the tale of the journey into the Southern USA during the early 1960’s of a slightly pompous black classical pianist and his driver, and minder, a bit of a thug but with his heart in the right place. These are beautifully played by Mahershala Ali (you might remember him from ‘Hidden Figures’) and Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn in the ‘Lord of the Rings’). As in all the best stories, the journey also becomes a personal one for both characters.
