Tennis: Where and when
The village has a single hard court located on the Yetminster Sports Club field (off Sussex Farm Way) that is open for play the year around.
There is a thriving Tennis Club with members not only from Yetminster and Ryme Intrinseca but a few from other villages in the Wriggle Valley. Bookings are made online on this website.
There is a small club tournament as part of an Annual Sports Day in the village during the summer and an inter-villages competition, normally in the late summer/autumn.
Fees & Subscriptions
Annual membership runs from 1 May from to 30 April. Membership fees for 2019 are as follows:
Junior (under 18 on 1 May) £10
Members playing with guests on the court contribute £1 per guest, payable please to the Secretary or Treasurer, once a season on an accumulated basis quite acceptable.
Tennis section members are now able to book the court all year round using the online system hosted by FastCourts. Paid up members will be given an online account along with Key Code for court entry.
The Rules of play can be found here
The club treasurer (see under Contacts below) has a small stock of tennis balls (Head Instinct) available at £3 for a can of 4 or £8 for one dozen.
The court is kept locked with a combination padlock. The code will be available to members on sign in and they will be notified when this code has changed. Please do not share this code with non-members.
Visitors to the village
Visitors to the village are welcome to use the tennis court and may book and pay a £5 fee at the Old School Gallery (see above) when they will be given the padlock combination.
For further information, to join or to report any defect with the court or equipment, please contact either the Club Secretary for Tennis and Croquet or the Club Treasurer, respectively:
